Exhumation

Exhumation consists in excavation of bodies or remainings from the grave or temporary burial site, in order to relocate them and bury in another place, or to carry out forensic examinations.

Our experience and technical equipment enable us to carry out exhumations in the entire territory of Poland.

Exhumation procedure is possible from 16 October to 15 April.

Below we present the sequence of proceedings while organising exhumation by our company:

  1. FUNERAL SERVICE COMPANY - we determine a preliminary date of exhumation, in coordination with the Cemetery administration and the sanitary and epidemiological station.
  2. ADMINISTRATION OF THE CEMETERY - in which remainings are to be buried, must grant consent with regards to available space and the right to bury the exhumed person.
  3. SANITARY AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STATION – we put forward an application - addressed to the sanitary and epidemiological station relevant to the cemetery, from which the body is to be exhumed, to approve for exhumation.
Most of the formalities are dealt with by our company, based on a written authorisation of the family. The above presented information are of general nature. To obtain more detailed information, please contact the nearest office of our company.
